Spreadsheets at HICSS-42

Spreadsheets at HICSS is a cluster of activities for spreadsheet researchers at the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences in January 2009.

These activities include a one-day workshop at the start of the conference, a minitrack for refereed research paper, and a number of informal and semiformal interactive sessions for researchers.

The purpose of the spreadsheet activities at HICSS is to bring together researchers from four disciplines that have been publishing in different forums. These include spreadsheet researchers in computer science, modeling, information systems, and software engineering.

HICSS is the perfect venue for bringing researchers together. First, it is a pure research conference. While other conferences bring researchers and practitioners together, HICSS is a chance for pure researchers to engage in deep discussions of their fields.

In addition, HICSS has long been an important venue for bringing together researchers from computer science and information systems. As "system sciences" indicates, it is a highly inclusive conference.
